Shelley Goes Back To Oklahoma

Part of the reason I haven't posted anything on here in a little bit is because... Shelley got to go home! As she was getting ready to leave we talked about how much she would miss certain people and why. However, that didn't last long after she landed, to be met by some of her favorite people.

Notice the wheelchair and walker she is still using. While therapists still believe she will be able to walk again she is still using both of these to help her get around. She has a leg brace that is specifically being made for her and she has an appointment February 12th to see how it fits etc. Once she has that brace she will no longer use the walker. 

Even though Shelley is home she still has a lot of work ahead of her. She was able to go home early with the promise of keeping up a rigorous schedule. When Shelley went home one of her therapists, Rhonda, come with her. Rhonda is helping her set up regular therapy appointments, getting someone in the home to help her with day-to-day activities and helping the family adjust to a new life style that is suited much better to Shelley's physical and mental limitations as a result of her wreck. 

So far things are going well. While Shelley is struggling to connect with her new therapists and schedule she says all of the little inconveniences are made up for by being able to be with her family again.
